When one girl’s father got home from work one day, he told her about a box he spotted in the middle of nowhere. They weren’t entirely sure what it was at first, so they decided to go back and take a closer look. What they discovered was completely heartbreaking, but you have to see how it turns out.
The box was hardly visible at all. It’s a miracle anyone spotted it in the heavy snow.
The box was purposely placed under some branches, seemingly to keep the top on. As they looked closer…
…inside was a cat. Their hearts absolutely broke. He was obviously cold and very sick.
But wait. Upon closer inspection they saw another cat!
The next two pictures show just how desolate and far away from civilization these cats were.
No houses, no other cars, nothing.
The only reason the kittens were found is because this girl’s dad happened to spot them.
So they brought the box home and made the kitties nice and warm. This is the cat from the back of the box.
He was in much better shape than the other.
Any time the two were separated, they would continue to meow over and over.
This little cutie just got a bath. He was very malnourished with gunk all around his eyes.
They supplied them with body heat. This is amazing love and care.
Soon after, both cats perked up. They were already feeling better. The one wouldn’t even leave his rescuer’s lap!
And he would rub up against everyone, thankful to be warm and safe.
This little guy still isn’t in the best of shape, but the vet indicated he will make it.
And soon reunite with his friend in a much better environment. 🙂
Although it really seems as if someone abandoned these kitties in the middle of nowhere, it looks like a box that some people purposely put in isolated places in case cats get lost so they can find some warmth and food to survive. No matter where these cats came from – abandoned or not – the ending is a miraculous one. So thankful for the rescuers!
