A four-year-old rescue dog named Luca never saw the world for what it truly was. But recently, he had eye-correcting, cataract surgery. And the moment he stepped outside to see everything clearly for the first time was awe-inspiring. The dog kept stopping and just stared off into the distance. What a moment!
Time seemed to slow down for the dog so he could take it all in. There was so much to see, and suddenly it all made sense. Luca looked up with love at his mom, Katie Schneller, who was able to make this all happen. The rescue staff tried dissuading her from originally adopting him saying he was high-energy and blindness would only intensify that. But it was meant to be, and they’re better off with each other. 🙂
