A man was driving through town when he spotted a dog on the side of the road with his mouth wired shut. And he knew what this meant; this is a practice used by slaughterhouses. The dog must’ve escaped, but now he was in pain. But the dog ran away when the man approached.
After around 6 hours of looking for the dog, the man and his friends found him! They were determined not to give up. He named the dog Balboa and took him in to get him to a vet. The escapee’s mouth was badly injured, so they treated him with antibiotics, pain meds, and IV fluids.
The next step was to remove the painful wire, and they did so successfully! Balboa is now able to open and close his mouth to eat, and he continues to get better each and every day. It won’t be long until the search for a forever home begins, and no one deserves it more than Balboa! 🙂
