Valia Orfanidou of The Orphan Pet was driving along in Greece when a tiny black and white dog jumped out of the brush and started chasing her car from behind. The puppy wanted to be rescued more than anything. She saw him in the rearview mirror and pulled over to help.
With so many strays in Greece, here was yet another who needed help. And Valia wasn’t about to leave him behind. But the pup was a bit hesitant and hid by the wheels of her car. He knew what was best for him in life, but it was still scary. The dog barked out when she was finally able to grab him, but once in the backseat of the car, he wagged that little tail! 🙂
She took him to a vet for a checkup, and the puppy, now named Bandit, was surprisingly healthy. He’d go on to a foster home in Athens to await a forever home while learning how to be a pet. Once ready, one lucky family would be able to call him their own! 🙂
