The Humane Society International raided and shut down their 15th dog meat farm crossing the number of 2,000 dogs saved in South Korea. Among the group of dogs in this rescue was a Golden Retriever they named Chewbacca. And despite everything, he was so happy to see people.
The poor boy spent the first five years of his life in a small muddy pen preventing mental and physical stimulation. But he was lucky in the fact he had not yet been among the dogs slaughtered and that today was the day he’d finally be set free.
Chewbacca was adopted by HSI President Jeffrey Flocken and is living his best life with an actual family in an actual home! The Golden Retriever is healed from his neglectful past and now spends his time surrounded by all the love and attention he can handle. 🙂
