Just after rescuing two dogs from the river, Loreta and Eldad learn of a mama and her pups living underneath of a shipping container. So they set out to investigate. When they approach and see the mom, she’s nervous and won’t come out to them. She wasn’t leaving her puppies behind.
They didn’t have their special equipment with them, so they had to make the trip back to Hope For Paws and return to the rescue location. Eldad saw his chance and grabbed one of the puppies to pull out, and Mama came right along with it! It was the only way they were going to convince her to come out.
Using the net, they were then able to pull each pup out safely from underneath the shipping container. Mom and her three puppies were placed in a crate and transferred to the hospital for checkups.
The dogs were covered in hundreds of fleas, so they all got warm baths and were fed. The very next morning, the dog family went to their foster home at Foxy and the Hounds. Now Candy, Skittles, Bubblegum, Hershey, and Licorice need a loving forever home! 🙂
