A Maltese-Poodle mix named Edie sat terrified at a high kill shelter in Los Angeles, California. The abused and neglected dog could do nothing but wait for the end. But thankfully, Hope For Paws heard about the dog and set out to save her just an hour before her scheduled euthanasia.
Edie was so scared of everything and growled at Eldad as he reached for her crate. He had to pull the top off in order to get her out, but the dog immediately retreated to the corner. The poor thing ended up defecating out of fear before finally allowing the rescuer to pet her and tell her everything was going to be okay.
And just six days later, Edie was ready to go to her forever home! She was still a little hesitant but much better than she’d been. And the moment she approaches her new mom is a special one. From a dog who was so scared of everything to this… it’s just amazing.
