Elephants are very intelligent animals and great problem solvers. They are also very caring and loving. So when one elephant is in need, the others always come running to help out. Their loyalty means that they’ll always have each other’s backs.
In the video below, a baby elephant falls in a water hole and can’t get out. The mama’s motherly instincts kick in immediately, but it won’t be easy. She’s going to have to get creative.
First she tries using her trunk to pull the calf out, but that doesn’t work. So she moves on to Plan B. Mama elephant gets in the water hole to push her baby out from behind, and it works! But now Mom is stuck. She takes a moment to rest and gather herself, and then she’s able to pull herself out!
