The rescue team of The Humane Society of the United States moved in on a property in Florida to see 140 dogs in the most neglectful conditions. And it was Animal Rescue Team member Laura Koivula who was on the ground to discover three of these dogs completely hairless in a bedroom.
The dogs were so scared and in obvious pain from their inflamed skin. It was such a hard thing to see. But all 140 dogs were rescued, and it was the next day that they got the fresh water, food, and love that they’d never had before. All of their demeanors changed in an instant!
The dogs have a long road ahead of them to recovery, but these large-scale operations save so many lives. And it’s all thanks to the supporters of The Humane Society of the United States and the hard work their employees put in. Here’s to another 140 dogs who will never have to know neglect and abuse ever again!
