Hope For Paws learned about an abandoned dog who had been living on the streets for about a month. When they arrived on scene, they met the happiest pit bull! The neighbors had been providing the dog with food and water, but she had nowhere to call home.
The sweet girl sat patiently for the leash and was so excited to finally be rescued! She happily jumped right into the rescue vehicle ready to start this new chapter of her life. On the way to the hospital, rescuers named her Colette.
Colette was the most friendly and cooperative dog, ready to get cleaned up and receive all the necessary medical care. She suffered from Ehrlichia and Mastitis and had to have a toe removed due to a tumor. But she kept her spirits high through it all and is now healthy and looking for a forever home at Doggie Bonez! 🙂
