Robert Altermoser was with a friend, Neal, when they saw a stray dog and had a funny feeling. So they followed the dog into an abandoned building, and what they saw they couldn’t believe. Lots of dogs were chained up inside left to fend for themselves.
Robert wanted nothing more than to clear out the building, and he left his home to start rescuing the stray dogs of Bulgaria. He ended up meeting with the police, and they gave him permission to take the dogs. So Robert headed there with bolt cutters. All of the dogs were super friendly despite the neglect and abuse.
Chains were cut, and the dogs were led out to the cars. The puppies would be taken to Neal’s house where they would be cared for, and the rest were kept on the 10,000 square-meter property they call Everydaystray Rescue. Some of the dogs have already been adopted, and the others are still receiving the care they need to get right!
