Man Can’t Swim, Removes His Turban To Save A Drowning Dog

Sarwan Singh of India was driving along when he saw men pointing toward the canal. He saw a dog struggling in the current, but no one was helping. Unable to swim, that’s when he did what he had to do in order to save the dog’s life.

Turbans are not typically removed outside of the home as part of Sikhism, but he felt it was justified in this situation. So he used his turban as a harness to pull the dog to safety.

“[People] thought I was disrespecting my faith,” he said. “But what was important at that point was to save the animal’s life.”

So brave and big of this man to such a thing in which he could’ve received a lot of criticism and blowback. A true hero.
