Animal Aid Unlimited received a call to rescue a dog with a strange swelling on her head. When they approached, they saw blood draining from the mass that covered half of her face. They needed to get her back and test the lump for cancer right away.
They got Olivia back to the facilities and found out through an ultrasound that her eye was still intact under the mass! That was the good news. The bad news was that the sample tested positive for a cancer called a transmissible venereal tumor.
But Luckily, this type of cancer could be cured with chemotherapy. Olivia would need a chemo treatment once a week for the next six weeks. She would have died for sure without this treatment, but she hung in there and fought the good fight!
Meet cancer survivor Olivia today! She’s come so far from her days on the streets, and she just looks wonderful. Amazing work by Animal Aid Unlimited once again! 🙂
