Stray Rescue of St. Louis heard about an abandoned dog who was not doing so well. When they arrived, they saw the dog living in the worst conditions. The poor thing was starving and dehydrated and had nowhere to go after being tied out under the stairs.
Olson was skittish and hid from the rescuers. A neighbor came out and said that the dog had been abandoned months ago and asked, “Are you going to save that dog?” He then added that he “fed him back when it was really cold.”
Rescuers were able to convince Olson to come out with the help of some treats, and it was time to get out of that neighbor and start his new life. He was taken to the clinic to receive the care he needed before eventually getting his forever home. A happy ending for Olson, but they’d love to know who left this dog to fend for himself in such a cruel way.
