A good Samaritan came across a baby owl in need and stepped in to help. The owl was found stuck to a rat trap with oil burns all over his body, so this person took the bird to a veterinary emergency hospital in Sydney.
It was Registered Veterinary Technician Ornella Jebrail who received the baby owl and got to work. “We were unsure if it was related to the glue on the trap that caused a skin reaction or if it were oil burns unrelated to the trap,” she said.
An injury assessment led to a recommendation from a raptor specialist to give him a nice warm bath. And that’s exactly what they did. Watch as the little thing adorably cooperates and allows these helpers to give him the pampering he needed! 🙂
