Pepper was one of over 30 animals found in a hoarding situation on a property in Kansas. They were all severely neglected and mistreated and in desperate need of care. The Humane Society of the United States raided the home and took all of these poor animals into their protection.
Despite all of the abuse and neglect poor Pepper had been through in her life, she was very kind and friendly. “You’re so sweet. Such a good girl,” one rescuer told her as she came close for some pats and love.
These rescues are made possible thanks to all of the support offered to the Humane Society. Because of it, dogs like Pepper will go on to have better lives. 🙂
