In Mesa, Arizona, a woman found some stray puppies wandering around her yard, and they were in a world of trouble. The poor things were completely covered in cactus needles, and their pain was obvious. How this happened, no one knows.
The pups sat there shivering in pain and agony, and firefighters arrived and tried to help pull the needles from their skin. But the puppies freaked out and rolled around, so they were taken to a vet clinic where they were put under anesthesia to have each needle removed.
The dogs had no microchips, so they’ll be put up for adoption once fully rehabilitated. But they are doing well now and completely free from the prickly situation they found themselves in. 🙂
