The Paws To Read program at a local library in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, is just one of many programs to help kids practice their literacy in a fun environment while entertaining and training therapy dogs. But when no one showed up to read to Sting, a 10-year-old retired Greyhound racer, it was a sad moment.
The senior Greyhound is a certified emotional therapy dog and works as a therapy dog for the Paws to Read program.
Kids from four to eight years old come to read to the dogs in this safe environment, but at the most recent gig, no one showed up for Sting. So John Muellner took to Facebook:

There was now no shortage of kids wanting to read to the Greyhound as they came flocking in droves! Sting is booked up for months. 🙂
Sting, along with the other dogs in the program, will never have to worry about being lonely again. The whole situation provided such a boost to the program!
