After 3 Days In A Drain, Rescue Dog Is Brought Up To Daylight By Firefighters

A two-year-old rescue dog named Sophie had gone missing from her family in Santa Barbara, California. And it was 30 days later that she found and rescued after having spent three days down in a drain pipe fending for herself.

Sophie had no way out of the 18-inch pipe on her own, and all she could do was wait until help would finally arrive. Firefighters showed up on site and used a hose to lure the dog over to the end of the storm drain as one firefighter waited to bring her up to safety.

It worked, and the fireman was able to grab ahold of the dog and bring her up to see daylight for the first time in three days. The fire department documented the rescue with pictures and posted them on Twitter.
