It turned out she’d been chained there for about four-and-a-half years enduring constant neglect, so the woman made it a thing to visit the dog three or four times a week. After spotting a bad ear infection she once again called animal control, and the wheels were set in motion to have the owners finally turn over the dog. They asked if Laura knew of anyone who’d be interested in taking Takia in as a pet, and she knew the perfect person! 😉
